PVC-U Compound Sourcing from China
We help pipe manufacturers source PVC-U compound for pressure and drainage pipe extrusion from verified Chinese producers. The two main quality risks are low K-value base resin and excess calcium carbonate filler — both invisible without testing, both common in lower-tier Chinese supply. We verify both on every order.

What we verify
K-value
K-value of 67 or above for pressure pipe compound, measured per ISO 1628-2. Lower K-value means shorter polymer chains — cheaper to produce, weaker under sustained pressure. We request the batch COA showing K-value on every order.
Calcium carbonate filler
Excess filler reduces compound cost and increases brittleness. Not detectable by visual inspection of pellets or finished pipe — becomes visible as white pitting on cut cross-section. We check on sample pipes at inspection.
Charpy impact strength
Impact strength per ISO 179. Cold-temperature brittleness is a known PVC failure mode, especially for pipe handled or installed in cooler climates.
Vicat softening temperature
Per ISO 306. Confirms the compound is not over-plasticised — which would reduce pressure performance at elevated operating temperatures.
