What HDPE pipes we source

HDPE pipe is produced to different grades, sizes, and standards depending on the application. We source across the full range:

  • PE100 pressure pipe — water mains, gas distribution, irrigation mainlines. ISO 4427, EN 12201, AS/NZS 4130. DN50–DN1600, SDR 9–SDR 26.
  • PE80 pressure pipe — lower-pressure distribution and irrigation. Same size range, lower pressure ratings than PE100 at the same SDR.
  • PE100-RC — Resistance to Crack grade. Required for mining slurry, pipe bursting, trenchless HDD. Verified against PE100+ Association registry.
  • Gas pipe (yellow stripe) — ISO 4437 and EN 1555. DN20–DN630. MAOP-rated for urban gas distribution networks.
  • Corrugated and structured wall — drainage, sewer, and stormwater. SN4/SN8/SN16 ring stiffness classes. DN110–DN1200.

What we verify at the factory

ISO 4427 certificate scope
The certificate must cover your exact DN range and SDR. A factory certified for DN110–DN315 cannot certify DN500. We check the scope page, verify the issuing body online, and confirm the expiry date.
PE100 resin traceability
We review incoming resin batch records and COAs. PE100 resin from Sinopec or PetroChina with traceable batch numbers is what we look for. Untraceable resin is a red flag.
Wall thickness equipment
Factory must have calibrated wall thickness gauges. We check calibration records. A factory that can't produce calibration records has a QC problem.
Production line capability
Can they actually produce your DN? Small factories may only run up to DN250. We confirm tooling and recent production history before recommending.

Pre-shipment inspection checklist

Outside diameter
Measured at both ends of each sampled pipe per ISO 3126. Must be within ISO 4427 tolerance for the specified DN.
Wall thickness
Measured at four points around the circumference at both ends. Minimum wall must meet the SDR specification — no exceptions.
Ovality
Difference between maximum and minimum OD. Excessive ovality affects butt-fusion joint quality and long-term pressure performance.
Pipe markings
Must include DN, SDR, material grade, standard, manufacturer name, and production batch. Missing or incorrect markings are a rejection point.
Hydrostatic pressure test
Test pressure = 1.5× nominal pressure rating, held per ISO 1167. Pass/fail documented with test parameters and pipe batch reference.
Resin COA cross-check
Resin batch COA verified against production batch records before loading. Batch substitution after sampling is the most common fraud.

Export documentation we prepare

  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Certificate of Origin (Form E for ASEAN FTA; Form A for GSP)
  • ISO 4427 conformity declaration and mill certificates
  • Resin batch COA with MRS classification
  • Hydrostatic pressure test report
  • Bill of Lading (reviewed before release)

All documents reviewed before the container is sealed. A missing CO or incorrect HS code found at customs is far more expensive than 30 minutes of document checking.
